i have a feeling it will be a busy year

good lord january is over already!! i feel like i've been non-stop since new years... early morning dentist trips, working 30 hours a week, music practice or some other church event all evening.. EVERY SINGLE DAY! i have noooooooo free time!! i frequently find myself fantasizing about just organizing my closet, or doing my laundry, or even just sitting doing nothing! things i probably would have dreaded 5 years ago.

what i would really love to do is have time to go down to the beach and walk. but my work schedule is so intrusive to my whole life! i can't do much of anything because i have work hanging over my head every day.

i've been working on getting into the online art college.. but that is stressing me out too!! all these financial aid deadlines that i know nothing about...loans and stuff i'm afraid to think about. plus i hate talking on the phone still...especially with strangers. if my application isn't rejected for not filling out all the papers in time, i might be starting in mid february. i hope i have the time! jeez...
reaaaaaaally need to get a new job. i don't want to work so much. :( i need more "me" time.
and i hate sharing this god damn room. all these organizing fantasies are no good if i have no space to myself!!! grrrrrr.

quest for the tax return forms...OMGZ

hmm.. apparently the government doesn't want to give me money? SURPRISE! but seriously. it's like a flipping easter egg hunt just to find the forms!

this morning i went to 2 different post offices AND the library and i still don't have them. the post offices were no help at all. the first one said "oh you have to go to our MAIN post office for those" so i did. "oh aren't they out in the lobby?" i didn't see any "well that means we're out, sorry have a nice day" out? OUT? don't you have one back there you could just HAND me, instead of making me SEARCH! what is it like a limited time offer? once they're gone, they're gone till next year? WTF people?! GET IT TOGETHER! so then i went to the library... CLOSED! at 11 am on a friday? apparently no one needs books untill after 12:30 pm on friday.. uggggh.

not how i wanted to spend my day off. my one and only day off this whole week :( apparently the schedule is being changed again too.. jeez. but this morning i had to get up early to let the plumber in - out kitchen sink was broken. i was reaaaally wanting to sleep in on my day off, but noooo. T_T *sigh* then couldn't take a shower or do laundry, because the water had to be turned off. so that's half of my day off wasted already......

people need to stop giving me things to do!!!!

californiaaaaa knows how to party

got my tattooooo~ i told you it would be soon! i love it. <3 i'll post a picture later maybe.

know what pisses me off? when people argue with you and don't even hear your point. they're just waiting till you're done talking to repeat their point again and again.
"why didn't you...?"
"no one told me"
"well you should have known!"
"well i didnt know"
"well you should have"
"how can i know if no one tells me?"
"you should have known"

.... T_T seriously?

i need to move out. badly. i hate sharing a room with a nazi, and i hate all the rediculous rules that don't make any sense.... cuz i'm gonna have sex in the front room while you're in the other room...?! NO! dumbasses.

i want my own room.. in my own appartment.. with my own furniture.. and my own puppy... <3 *sigh*

work blah blah blah *~

well now that minimum wage has gone up to $8.00 it would seem i'm working for minimum wage. :( that doesn't make me happy. i asked my manager if because of minimum wage going up if then our pay would go up.. and she pretty much side stepped my question by telling me how generous it was to start everyone out at $8 (back when it was .50 over min) so maybe she didn't understand my question? i don't know. but not happy...

come the end of this month i'll have had this job for 6 months! yikes, half a year.. i think i can probably only take another 6 months, then i'll have to find something better. my expenses for this year are already insane.

$730.90 for auto insurance.. which i'm gonna just pay all at once to get out of the way. then HOPEFULLY i can get a payment plan going for my $2160.00 dental bill! :x plus $100.00 (estimate) for a tattoo this week.. ahhh!! need more money! need to go back to schoooool.. oh nooo!

got information for a few art schools. i don't really want to be a cosmotologist anymore, as fun as that would be - art makes more money. which is fine. i like art too.. and hair stylists always have to be nice and talk to their clients.. if i'm doing graphic arts i can stay home and me a hermit...which sounds just lovely right now.
i wanna move out soooo bad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i hate sharing a room.. no one knows how much of a bitch my sister can be...she's such a moody snob.

blaaaaaaaaah............so either art school in LA or San Fransico.. or music school in the UK... just gotta get out of here.

the new love of my life +

well, things have certainly improved since my last blog entry...

today was good because:
- i found my new favorite car ♥ ♥ i knew i liked it but now it's my favorite.

saw one outside starbucks on my way into work (all the good cars are at starbucks btw). wanted to take a picture of it... but i didn't have my camera and also i would have been late for work.
they called it "the best handling car in the world"... and it gets GREAT gas mileage!
watch it in action! it's amazing. and yes, i want it in this color. "racing green".

- today was also good because i got a $25 bonus with my paycheck! :)
- and because i don't have to watch a crappy movie tonight! we rented shrek 3. yays~
- and i get the weekend off from work! horray!

so that's why today was good.

bad parts of today:
- work today seemed like foreverrrrrrrrrr......
- the guy at taco bell charged me for water. ?! water is supposed to be free! and i'll bet it was TAP WATER... so i pretty much payed for the frigging cup. it made me a little mad.. but i guess a $25 bonus can make up for that... :( i just hate to waste money...

so all in all it was a good day.

don't believe everything you see on TV

just to clarify, i like this bumper sticker for purely non-political and 100% selfish reasons. i just don't like being cold.

but since a lot of people don't seem to get it...

the idea of global warming has been around FOREVER. ever since the invention of the microwave. (they probably thought refrigerators would bring on the next ice age too)

this time around they've brought it back as a scam to scare people into paying more taxes...and to make you think stupid democrat leaders actually CARE about something besides killing babies and getting us all blown up by terrorists! imagine that :)

now obviously we should do what we can to help keep the environment nice... but the people who support this theory aren't doing any of the things they're trying to force on us! what does that tell you about them? either they really don't believe it, or they don't care. they just want to win the election and take your money. but don't take my word for it ;)

here are some good articles on the subject:
http://www.everythingiknowiswrong.com/global_what
http://www.nationalcenter.org/NPA512.html
Don't Trust Al Gore on the Environment

and here's more than you'll ever be able to read on it:
http://www.nationalcenter.org/Kyoto.html

my point being, think for yourself. don't believe every THEORY that people try and pass off as fact.

thank you.

p.s. i got the bumpersticker here: http://www.cafepress.com/rightwingstuff

no lie. it really is. heh, guess i have more to say than i thought...
soo tomorrow i'm going to pay taxes for the first time. yippy skippy. :'(
tupid government.. you know what? the people who tax us, don't have to pay taxes! i bet if they did they'd stop raising them :) haha. no but seriously. the stupid stuff our taxes go to.. makes me mad. like welfare. i don't want to support people who failed at life! it's just wrong! those welfare programs should help people find jobs where they can actually succeed in life. not keep them in programs where they'll have to keep wasting the money of people who actually DO work for a living! "government by the people, FOR the people." not so the government can control everything. HELLOO! that's socialism.. which is borderline communism if you ask me. just a sneeze away. look i looked it up after i wrote that:

3. socialism
(in Marxist theory) the stage following capitalism in the transition of a society to communism, characterized by the imperfect implementation of collectivist principles.

hmmmmm... yep. that's not good. and i'm not really sure what to say after that... we're all (aka, america is) going down the toilet.. that's the end. goodnight.

Prince Charles, you are stupid.

i'm sure most of you heard about how prince charles suggested that "mcdonald's should be banned forever". if you haven't, it's at about 3:20 in this video. He suggests that "getting rid of mcdonald's is the key to improving physical fitness in the world."
RIIIIGHT.
get rid of ONE fast food chain and suddenly people will be inspired to excersize and actually take care of themselves! oh sure...pure genious! that's why you're british. go drink some tea you old crumpet.
people have to want to take care of themselves to be physically fit. it doesn't just happen because you take the temptation away. you can still get fat from eating healthy! people just need to learn moderation.

and is it me or are all governments becoming a little toooo controling? *cough* communism *cough*

OMG.

third month in a row i've started cramping at work!! my body hates me. :'(
after work i went to the drug store to get a sobe (because it makes me feel healthy).
and there was this little girl with her grandparents. she was pretty cute...untill she opened her mouth...
little girl: nana, can you buy me this?
grandma: no, you only get one thing today.
little girl: nana, you're no fun to shop with.
grandma: really? i thought i was lots of fun to shop with.
little girl: no, because you only buy me one thing!
grandma explains why she can't buy a whole lot of things.
*5 minutes later*
little girl: nana, can you buy me this?
grandma: no, you only get one thing.
little girl: nana, you're no fun to shop with.
grandma: really? i thought i was lots of fun to shop with.
little girl: *whines* noo, because you never buy me anything.
yep, the exact same conversation over again. like 5 more times. there was more too it, but i was like woah little girl.. and then she was like hollaring for her grandpa accross the whole store. "GRANDPA! WHERE ARE YOU?" "I'M IN THE CHECKOUT." "OH OKAY!"
blarg.
anywho... i think i've filled enough space. i'm doing some work and then megan and i are gonna re-arrange our room. cuz i might get a desk soon! so that i'm not messing up my back [more] sitting on my bed with the laptop all the time :)

80's rockstar barbie called. she wants her hair back

i'm sorry but seriously?! why do we call this fashion? no one in their right mind would EVER wear these things in public. they are rediculous if not utterly HIDEOUS!! maybe artsy, but impractical - unless you live in a circus.

i give you: exhibit A and exhibit B and exhibit C (it's like a bad cosplay).
apparently strangely colored, "i-just-got-laid" frumpy looking hair is in... somewhere in the world. oh yes. actually i'm pretty sure it isn't and they just want people to try to look like that so they can laugh at how messed up they look...

what you wear and do with your hair should at least make you look good. why else would we bother wearing it?! if i can't even figure out how to put it on then i see no point. and don't get me wrong, i do like some fashion stuff. and i'm not saying i get it right all the time myself... but come on! this stuff here is supposed to be professional!!

but i guess if anything it has entertainment value. because i like to just look at it and laugh.

and laughing is always good. go ahead, look through those links and laugh some more :)

p.s. here's more. i guess i might sound mean... because you can tell these people are really excited about it and stuff. but personally i think they put most of this stuff together in the dark.

Cramping 101

warning: this blog contains descriptions of graphic violence, female issues, and stuff that is just plain gross. not for the faint-of-heart or the easily-offended. read at your own risk.

today's meeting for work was 4 hours long. bleh. and i basically have the worst luck ever. the past two months i've started cramping at work, of all places! due to female issues of the once-a-month sort. now i know that at least 50% of my readers are male, so if you've ever wanted to know how cramping feels try this:

YOU WILL NEED: a pair of scissors (non-safety), duct tape, a golf ball, some matches/a lighter, a rusty 6" - 12" knife, and a close friend (or enemy, either one).

TO BEGIN: take your non-safety scissors and cut open your lower stomach area, exposing your large and small intestine. locate your small intestine (hint: it's usually the smaller looking rope of gross pinkness) and proceed to pull it all out of your body, tie a few large knots in it (doesn't matter where) and stuff it all back in however you like. you can use duct tape to seal yourself back up.
STEP 2: have your friend kick you in your lower back a few times. maybe beat you with a baseball bat a little.
STEP 3: swallow the golf ball. it might get stuck in your throat... but that's all part of the experience :)now here comes the fun part!
STEP 4: take your rusty knife and begin stabbing yourself in the lower stomach. it should go nearly all the way in. then either you or your friend give your stomach a few good punches. proceed with rotating back and forth between the stabbing and punching for about an hour or so.
STEP 5: after about an hour has passed light yourself on fire and induce vomiting. then have your friend continue with the stabbing and punching to the lower stomach until either (a) you pass out or (b) your friend passes out.
sounds fantastic huh? i know you can't wait to try it.

so now that you get an idea of how it feels... next time a female friend/relative/whatever informs you that she is cramping you should do everything in your power to make her feel better - buy her chocolate, offer her a back massage (if that's okay), or just let her know that you can't really relate, but heard somewhere that it really sucks and you hope she feels better.
=)

soggy couches are in.

i really like looking at professionally done interior design stuff... like the show rooms in ikea and such. maybe cuz it'll be a long time before i can do anything like that... but anyway!
was looking at this article today and saw this picture:

and i was like, yeah that's really pretty... nice little sitting area out on the patio/roof/whatever.. i wish i had something like that-- wait! what happens when it rains? those couches would get all soggy... ew. wow that would suck. kinda impractical. actually a lot of interior decorating is just rediculous. it isn't for real people. it's for people who are never home... who don't have any personality or STUFF. because you know in those pictures everything is always so CLEAN! where is all their stuff?! it can't sit out unless it matches the color of the room... so maybe it wouldn't be so fun to have a perfectly done house... haha.

ew i suck (and movie review/rant!)

You Are Cyclops
Dedicated and responsible, you will always remain loyal to your cause.
You are a commanding leader - after all, you can kill someone just by looking at them.

Power: force beams from your eyes

and while i'm on that topic i'm just going to go ahead and rant about "X-men 3: "the last stand"... if you haven't seen it then you probably shouldn't read this because i'm sure there will be ***spoilers***

DISCLAIMER: this is all my personal opinion. how i saw it, from where i was sitting. and i am somewhat of an old-school x-men fan and take this stuff kinda personally. so don't hate.

first off, the movie itself, as just a summer flick to go see with your friends: just fine. it's fairly entertaining with plenty of action and special efects blah blah blah.. go see it if that's all you want.

the movie as part of the x-men saga: disapointing.
because you CAN'T just go around killing off half of the characters and then set it up for a fourth movie! you just can't! now they'll either have to bring them all back to life somehow, or pull in other random x-men.

i was especially upset about xavier.. that was so totally wrong. you don't just kill proffesser x. he's like the god of the x-men legend. he CAN'T just die. and not like that. i mean really. couldn't he have a more noble death for him than some war of the worlds (people exploding) rip off?! jeez. i almost cried.

character development could have been better. namely for angel. he was pretty much just in the movie to look pretty in the previews. he barely had any part in the actual plot. just "hey here's me with my pretty wings being all angsty. yay!" and the whole thing with phoenix was predictable for any x-men comic/cartoon fan. but sadly that was nothing like it should have been either.

one thing they did do good on was the character of beast. he was probably my favorite in this one and i don't think i would have done him any differently.
oh and storm's hair was pretty cool.. :)

juggernaut was retarded. i'm sorry. but really? "i'm the juggernaut, b*tch!!" yeah. nuf said.

and the "big fight scene" between ice man and pyro.... could have been soooo soo so sooo much better! but it was too short! it was like "i want to beat you down through the whole movie" "oh now we get to fight! hey why don't you just die after 10 seconds of DBZ fighting!" ..boo.

so i asume for the next one we'll have to bring at least one character (if not more) back to life. and the stuff that made everyone loose their powers will wear off. cuz that's what always happens. duh.
i'd really like to see them put gambit in the next one.. and then at the same time i really don't want to see them put gambit in, for fear of them totally ruining one of my favorite characters (like they did rouge... poo on them).

so on a scale of 1 - 10.. 10 being highest:

story/plot - 5/10
character developement - 5.5/10
special effects - 8/10
fight scenes - 6/10
dialogue - 3.5/10

over all rating - 6.8/10

all that being said, i actually did enjoy the movie (for the most part.. big surprise huh?). just those few things i have complaints about. so yeah....
