this is just a "what i did on my birthday" kinda thing... and it got super long, so you've been warned. and i actually wrote this yesterday but didn't get to put it up till now. so yeah... for those of you who are into spying on me and such things, you get free info! yay for you! enjoy!
well, today, october 18th 2005, is my 18th birthday. omg, i'm a legal adult now. heh, and no, i don't feel any older than i did yesterday (why do people always ask that? dumbest question EVER!) but anyway, it was a good day ^_^ woke up early to go to class day with everyone. but first, i had to go on a little treasure hunt to find my birthday gift from a certain.... i must say, about the hunting for clues and whatnot; my brain doesn't work so well early in the morning XD the one in the freezer gave me the most trouble i think... but thanks ^__^ i did finally find the picture thing, and i love it! *hugs*
after that we all went to class day (if you don't know what that is, it's basically when the big home school group that we are a part of gets together and does extracurricular classes and things, and it's for day... every other week... class + day = class day... makes sense to me) but yeah, since i've graduated, i don't go anymore. but i figured i could go and then we'd be close to the place i wanted to go anyway (tell you later). so yeah, chilled with megan in her classes, saw all my old school buddies (the ones that didn't graduate that is) it's weird, since i was there, it's changed, but at the same time it's still the same. i dunno... but apart from reliving the boring opening/bible study (memorize catechisms? no thanks) it was really enjoyable. went to megan's drama class, which was fun... i'm much more confident doing it now than i was when i was actually in the class. then there was cooking class...we made apple pie, and i got to see my old cooking teacher -- who is really cool btw ^__^ then megan's next class was volley ball, which i was really excited about...but i'd forgotten the school's lameness about playing sports in the rain... they just don't do it. sooo the whole volley ball class was shipped upstairs into a room full of games (air hockey, checkers, basket ball hoop thingie, etc) and told that we couldn't touch anything... but they gave us a box full of gum, and a few decks of cards. super lame at first, but it was with my old art class buddies, so it was cool. i learned that in the home schooler's rendition of BS the "BS" stands for "bible study" lol. annnd i drew on my friends shoes and there was lots of gum throwing (no 52 card pick up thank you) and talking about lots of random stuff and just having a good time.
after the period was over and everyone was free, megan and i found a volley ball and started a free for all game of volley ball out front, eventually almost our entire group from upstairs joined in and we had this insane game of volley/soccer/dodge/foot/ball/whatever (meaning basically use any means necessary to keep the ball off the ground, and look as cool as you can doing it) going on out front in the wet grass. but then this guy who's in charge yelled at us for being by windows or something, so we had to move our game to the back where the street is.... and there's this random asphalt area divided by a chain link fence, so i said, "hey lets use this for a net"... thus extreme-GHETTO-killer-volley-soccer-foot-dodge-ball was born ^__^ it was great too, cause there were lots of puddles from all the rain, so if you spiked it and the other team got splashed then you were awesome. and if you missed it and you got splashed...well then it was just lame - and you were all wet to boot....and we all were rather wet by the time we were done (who wants to dive into the street for a stinkin volley ball anyway?) but it was so much fun! and it got pretty crazy too, we'd have random people just walk up and start playing... and yeah. enough about that ^_^ good times, good times.
after that we drove to the mall so that molly and i could get our ears pierced... ah yes, all 18 years of my life and just now getting it done... whatever. 4mm 14 karat white gold..um..orb shaped thing, shot into my ear lobes.... yeah. lame thing is i have to leave them in for 6 weeks, and i have to clean my ears 3 times every day for that whole 6 weeks XD jeez... lotsa work. and it didn't hurt as bad as some people made it sound... i didn't cry or anything, lol (don't i sound mature...not)^_^ then we got hot dog on a stick for lunch (yummy!) and went to the book store and the pet store. apparently they made a manga of kingdom hearts...so i bought that for myself ^_^ annnd they have the cutest kittens at the pet store right now! but they aren't going to start selling them till november 1st. they were so freakin adorable!!! i want a kitty!! ..maybe for my next birthday, yes? *wink*
then went home for a little bit, relaxed and stuff. then went to souplantation for dinner (WONTON CHICKEN HAPPINESS ^___^ oh yeah) and it was delicious as always! then went home and did cake and presents... and i have to say, most birthdays i maybe get one or two things i really wanted and a bunch of stuff i don't really like all that much. but THIS year i'm so happy with everything i got (of course i picked out half of it, but that's beside the point!) the best thing of course is that i FINALLY got my own laptop ^__^ yay for me! it's actually half graduation present as well, cause my loving parents never got me anything... but i'm really excited about it, i just hope i don't mess it up or something. and i think that's about it. over all, it was the best birthday i've had in a long time. and if you read all that...wow. props to you
xoxoxoxo,
