converse + rain = LAME!

why, oh why, oh why did i wake up at 8 am after getting home at 4 something am?! and why couldn't i fall back asleep??! of all days? why?
so apparently if i'm going to be able to get up on time to get to my one college class (and brilliant me, it's in the morning) then i need to stay out till 4 am every night before class and i'll be wide awake the next morning when i need to be... anyone wanna join me?? =D

i was at the mall today (good times by the way) and was kinda wondering.... those automatic flushing toilets... how do they work really? i mean yeah i know it's like some kinda censor or something.....but what if it was like, some room somewhere full of prison inmates or toilet flushing gnomes watching a little screen and pushing the button every time you stand up? ... that's so wrong man. seriously. and when the toilets at the movie theater flush it sounds like someone stepped on a cat...... but anyway!! random topic over.

on to another one! XD

(hopefully you can read it...)

please note: "Sooper Dooper Soda"

.......sooper...?

yeah...

so have a "SOOPER DOOPER" new year everyone!! ^__^

see my hair?

i dyed the ends of my hair red yesterday... but it was like a spray in thing that washes out in one wash, so i think i'm gonna dye it again later this week so it'll last longer than a day. it's was a little brighter than it is in this picture... but yeah ^_^ i like it.
i'm not feeling so great today... stupid colds been going around *sigh*

feliz navidad

(post christmas thoughts... or whatever)

well, that was an interesting christmas...being that it was on sunday and whatnot.
i got a digital camera ^_^ heh, but it's cheap and the pictures come out like crap... and to prove it: i took this picture with it... that green blob on the bottom is my bed...with my awesome princess canopy/net thingie that i got for christmas XD lol. and you can see the squishy panda i got... and my wall that i haven't changed the pictures on for like 2 years XD and the random dresser in the middle of my floor that i'm trying to get rid of. anyone want it??
anyway, i had a good day and i'm happy with the stuff i got (cheap though it may be)

only one regret...
shannel's dad wants to kill me. *sigh* i knew i should have gone with the stuffed rabbit. phantom of the opera dvd, pssh! oh well..... i've lived a full life so far, right?

you're as cuddly as a cactus

you're as charming as an eel. mr. grinch.

haha, Dr. Seuss was either a genius or a crazy man... either way, if i had a cell phone i think i'd want the grinch song as my ringtone. cuz the regular christmas song ones are like EVERYWHERE! so yeah... not to say i'm a grinch about christmas or anything. but i was sick of christmas songs before november was over XD

You're a rotter, Mr. Grinch.

You're the king of sinful sots.

Your heart's a dead tomato splot

With moldy purple spots,

Mr. Grinch.

i don't think i've ever heard that part.... i wanted to post the whole song (cuz it's hilarious!), but it's actually kind of long ^^ so you can read it here: http://www.seuss.org/seuss/mr.grinch.html

tacos, hubcaps, and things like christmas cards

so my sister and i went to taco bell today (yeah, we do that a lot...it's the only close food place really) and we're sitting down to eat and this *ahem* "mentally challenged" (gotta be politically correct) man wearing a taco bell uniform comes up to our table and hands us an envelope and says "merry christmas" XD so of course we do like any decent people would do and say "thank you" and "merry christmas to you too" and all that jazz... he limps away and we're just sitting there like "uhhhhhh.... that was odd?" so we figure maybe it's some new company thing at taco bell to hand out cards to customers...but he isn't giving them to anyone else? ......weird. so we left it on the table till we finished eating (don't know why) then we open it up... average christmas card with the average cheesy christmas card greeting "happy holidays" blah blah blah whatever with just his name signed to it in handwriting worse than my little brothers XDD i was gonna scan it for you... but i'm tired and it's late, so meh. it was just random!! who gives total strangers christmas cards?! apparently steve bake/blake/blqrke does (can't read his hand writing) ..yeah, i think i'll scan it tomorrow.
annnnd on the way home i picked up the loveliest decorator item... yes, it will go perfect with the theme i'm working with right now.... and it was just laying right on the side of the road too! so convenient! but seriously...walking down the street with a hubcap can make a person feel pretty silly ^_^; my mom was really excited about it though, so i guess it was worth the silliness of people asking me about it and stuff XD (if you don't know, don't ask) but the hubcap will be on display in the tweens room in a few months after we decorate it XD woo! so fun! anyway
when we finally made it home we played a couple relaxing rounds of lord of the rings (video game) (HAHA!) thinking we're just gonna chill the rest of the day (haha again). end up getting to go decorate for the youth christmas party tomorrow night.. wee! fun! i like decorating ^_^ but yeah... untangled like 5 miles of christmas lights, put up fake christmas trees for the first time, cut a million snow flakes... really i'm pretty proud of what we came up with for the limited resources we had ^__^ oh yeah, the party tomorrow night is gonna be lots of fun!!
and there was more to my day (bible college and stuff), but this is already quite lengthy... so i'll just stop here. (if you want to read more then just read my previous posts. good stuff.)

because my mom is paranoid... a poem by me

i was going to just tell you about my little dilemma... but i think it's much more interesting this way. (and i know i'm no poet...this was just for fun, so ignore all the grammatical errors and such) oh and it sounds better if you read it out loud ^^

a drivers licence is a lovely thing
great for getting places, oh the freedom it would bring!
yes, and i'd probably have one today...
if my mom wasn't paranoid of me driving on the freeway

i think i'd do just fine, driving in a strait line
even going real fast... yes, that would be quite fine!
"it's not you i'm worried about, it's everyone else" she would say
because my mom is paranoid of me driving on the freeway

alas, it is true, and you thought i was joking
but it scares her more than the thought of me smoking
the big trucks and walls off which i might ricochet
are reasons why my mom is paranoid of me driving on the freeway

i'm a safe driver though, really i am!
i look in my mirrors and use both my hands
but that doesn't matter, not to mom anyway
because my mom is paranoid of me driving on the freeway

and had i my licence, out shopping i'd be
buying christmas presents to put under the tree
but here at home is where i will stay
because my mom is paranoid of me driving on the freeway

either way, i have no job and no money
and it's not my fault, so stop looking at me funny!
i'd have a job, and it would have really good pay
if my mom wasn't paranoid of me driving on the freeway

and if i had a job, then i could afford a car
to take me places near and far
but a car is pointless, as i have no licence to this day
because my mom is paranoid of me driving on the freeway

and if i had a car, well that would be awesome!
i'd fill it with junk, go places, kill possums
but i'll have to wait a few years for that kind of play
because my mom is paranoid of me driving on the freeway

yes, life would be grand, with a licence in hand
i might actually be on time to practice with the band!
but instead i sit here and waste my day away
because my mom is paranoid of me driving on the freeway

i have nothing to do! my life is so lame!
everyday is pretty much the same... but i won't complain
i'll just sit here and keep thinking of words that rhyme with "way"
because my mom is paranoid of me driving on the freeway

well, today was rather random... i found out that a certain guy-friend of mine likes to wear eyeliner 0_o yeah, kinda queer...but he's not. so i'm just kinda like "eh, okay" ^_^; he's cool, but eyeliner..... why? you're pretty enough as it is!! XD

way to avoid doing the dishes #362.8

it took me OVER two hours and 3 CDs to do the dishes this morning (don't do dishes without music, you'll go crazy). and i must say, there's nothing quite like the feeling of soggy fruit loops and burnt potato chunks, and who knows what else floating around between your fingers in the morning... except for maybe the feeling of scraping two day old crusty oatmeal out of a bowl with your fingernails *insert fingernails on chalk board sound here* (i don't want to gross you out too badly, so i won't tell you about the sour milk and spoiled meat products and such) - and have i mentioned that we don't have a working dishwasher? yep, yep, all the thanksgiving leftover dishes that have been sitting in the fridge for weeks...all washed by hand. plus tons of dishes from baking my sister's birthday cake yesterday... all that stuff sitting out over night looked (and smelled) absolutely beautiful this morning! living in a house with 6 people who are constantly eating creates A LOT of dishes... i don't really recommend it.
oh but good news! i can almost feel my hands again...but i think the 4 layers of skin that is pealing off my fingers may take a while to grow back... oh well

and not that anyone cares, but i'm now officially a college student, as of monday...with a student ID number and everything (yay me!)

i'm considering hiring a bodyguard...

job requirements:
- looks intimidating
- marital arts training
- passed body guarding school

job description and specifications: a well built male to accompany my sister and i on walks to and from places. your presence should discourage the people driving by from hitting on us, etc... and also to act as protection (beat them down!) if they try to kidnap us or something.
pay: we'll discus it. bonuses for beating up bad guys! :D

apply today!

you know you need a body guard if you can't go walking in your own neighborhood without getting hit on. and when people are driving by screaming "HEY!! how much?! how much for both your sweet-- [the rest of this sentence is censored]?!!?!" you kinda get a little scared. i know i talk about these things a lot, but it happens too often, and all i have to say is that i'm very disgusted with guys these days. i don't think i'm asking for it either! i was fully clothed and coverd (thanks to cold weather) and had minimal makeup on today.
guys are just lame.

i have to tell on myself

...for almost completely forgetting about a certain well known, all-american holiday commonly known as thanksgiving. till wednesday afternoon when my lil sis said something about making cookies 'for tomorrow' and i'm just like "what the heck for?" to which she proceeded to drop a couple verbal anvils on my head... X_x so apparently yesterday was thanksgiving...but i think you already knew that.

and now all of a sudden i'm freaking out because there is CHRISTMAS MUSIC playing on my radio?! XDDD why am i still mentally back in like..april? maybe it's the weather? maybe it's just me? someone help me!!!

oh but i had a good thanksgiving! did lots of cooking and lots of eating. first year i actually enjoyed the turkey *gasp* cause of this great stuff called cranberry horseradish sauce something-or-other... turkey is so disgustingly bland otherwise (bleh). everything else was delicious as well (in fact, i might actually eat the left overs this year! omg, lol) ^__^ the rest of the day was pretty good too... we watched a movie, then went to a friend's house and played a few extreme rounds of jenga over some sodas, then went home and watched another movie. the end!

ever feel like the holidays just kinda sneak up on you?
or rather, the holiday spirit...

ta ha, i crack me up! XD (and yes, i made this comic... i know, i'm lame ^-^)

the song that will forever be playing in my head

Willy Wonka, Willy Wonka...The Amazing Chocolatier.Willy Wonka, Willy Wonka...Everybody give a cheer!
He's modest, clever, and so smart,He can barely restrain it.With so much generosity, There is no way to contain it...To contain...to contain...to contain...to contain.

Willy Wonka, Willy Wonka...He's the one that you're about to meet.Willy Wonka, Willy Wonka...He's a genius who just can't be beat. The magician and the chocolate wiz...The best darn guy who ever lived.Willy Wonka here he is!

it's rather catchy...
and this picture rocks my socks!
i wish i drew it...*sigh*
okay now go read my other post and comment on that one! ^_^

yippy skippy!

well folks, today is me mum's birthday. sooo everyone needs to tackle-hug her when then see her and wish her many happy returns of the day (but you didn't hear that from me ^_~)

so in honor of the day, the family went to pat and oscar's for lunch... yummers! i think i'm starting to like dr. pepper again =3 ...but mostly cuz they didn't have rootbeer (those LAME'O's!) anyway, good stuff that pat and oscar's... over priced, but good.
then we went to home depot (you know you're jealous, don't deny it.) apparently it's like going disneyland for your birthday or something? and all of RB wanted to come to home depot to celebrate with us...? or saturday is home repair day. (probably the later...but you never know?) and all i have to say about that is AND I QUOTE! "watch out for those home depot guys!" OY! i swear i can't take my sister anywhere with her hair down!! long blond hair is like a flashing sign that says "hit on me!" ...so my sister and i are walking (gosh we do that a lot huh?) and this friendly older mexican(?) man working there says hi, asks us how we're doing, if we're finding everything okay, blah blah. yeah that's cool, fine whatever, you're doing your job...walking away now. BUT WAIT, now you're following us through the store talking to us? and my sis was wearing her jamaica (come by and say hi) shirt, so he asks her if there "are any jamaican songs he should know", she says no, he's all like "aw c'mon, try me!" asking her to sing a bob marley song for him. so by now both our faces are bright red; her from embarrassment and me from trying not to laugh. after we finally convinced him that he really didn't want her to sing for him he's all like "this your sister? she's cute. watch out for those home depot guys, they're [something about being big flirts]." haha, thanks ^^; okay then *walking away as fast as we can without running*
so that was my random advice from a complete stranger for the day... "watch out for those home depot guys." especially the old mexican ones.
did some other shopping elsewhere... and now we're home safe and sound. no crazy mexicans. ^_^ whew!

and that's all for now! hopefully nothing else interesting happens today...otherwise i'll have to make another post. haha

cheers!

eating skittles in the dentist office

and other stupid things to do on thursdays!! ^__^

(otherwise titled: something almost worth writing about~ yay!)

yes, yes, almost... had a fun day out on the town with my sister. hehe. first i went with my sister to the dentist this morning - cause my parents had places to be. so i got to play mom and sit in the waiting room of the dentist office and wait for her. (XD the drilling!! *cringes*) heh, fun people watching though... moms with screaming kids, old people, anxious moms waiting, those awkward teenagers going in to get their braces tightened.
lots of old magazines.... i only made it through one...and i tried drawing something out of it, but it didn't take very long for my sister to be done with her cleaning, so i couldn't finish. oh well... here it is... but it sucks. (ARRG!!! WHY DO YOU LOOK ASIAN?! *cries*)

oh and btw JW, if you happen to read this... happy wisdom teeth pulling! hope it goes good!! ^_^ enjoy all the ice cream and stuff! (notice all the happy colors - just for you :)

anywho, after that my sis and i walked around the lovely town of RB - home of the elderly and the older... basically a retirement area, with nothing fun to do unless you're over 50. there are like 5 million hair cutting places and even more dentist offices and places like that, everything else is food places. so we walked around, checked out a few random stores, explored, ate lunch at jack in the box, more random stores, got ice cream, walked to the library, then walked home. lonnng walk.
and this one stretch of road from taco bell to the library, people always yell out their car windows at us. i don't understand why they feel like they have to, but every time, it never fails! are my shoelaces untied? something on my face? why are you yelling at me? and it's impossible to understand what they are saying most of the time cause they're driving so fast... so it's like "HASUBLUGINSHLARGERRrahh!!!!" *HONK HONK* i swear today someone said my name... but i don't know any guys who drive red sports cars (darn)...so i don't really think it was my name. but hey, if it was you, let me know!

okay, that's all for now ^_^
love and kisses <3

don't you just hate the bible?

no, i don't actually hate it. that was just to get your attention. but really, this is just one of those verses that i love to hate...and hate..with love...and well yeah. read on.

Do all things without complaining or disputing, that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world.
Philipians 2:14-15
ouchie ouch ouch ouch OUCH!! i was just going to post the verse on it's own, but i have stuff to say, so listen up people.
i don't know if i'm the only one who has noticed this, but we sure do a lot of complaining don't we? after all, that's what we got these blogs for, right? but really...according to this verse, is that really okay? ...think about it along the lines of romans 12:2, especially the part about being "without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation"... this is serious stuff.
i'm not trying to preach at you or anything, this is just something i've been trying to work on with myself lately. less complaining - which should eventually become no complaining (realistically speaking), which is why i memorized this verse. and i encourage you to memorize it as well. seriously, it can change your whole outlook on things (give you a more positive outlook). so don't yell at me for preachin or even think about those pastor's daughter comments... just read the verse again and chew on it for a while.
some food for thought if you will...
bon apatite!

hmm.... random day...

yeah, so guess what? i just wrote one of the most personal, thoughtful, deep, inspirational (well maybe not), long, intellectually stimulating, (and have i mentioned deep?) blog entries i've ever written in my entire life! (you guys would have even had a peek into my own personal thoughts and everything!) the tell all entry! the one blog entry TO RULE THEM ALL!!! *lighting flashes off in the distance* -- but i got disconnected from the internet and it was lost forever, along with my train of thought. so yeah, SORRY!( i'm just as upset as you are, really) oh well, guess you'll have to settle for the normal "what i did ______" entry ^_^ yippie for you!

soooo, what i did this weekend...(starting saturday cause friday wasn't all that exciting that i remember?) so i'll just hit the high points:

saturday:

*went and saw chicken little ...yeah yeah, looked like a lame kids movie - but back off until you've seen it okay! and don't expect anything when you go (yeah, you have to go see it). it is sooo freakin hilarious! fish, haha, awesome ^_^ i absolutely loved it, and you should to! T_T (yes you, with the face...and the hair)

*went on a little "shopping spree" (not really, i had 50$ of birthday/graduation money that was burning a hole in my wallet/pocket/birthday card) but yeah. i ruined my fav shoes via the marshmallow wars (see previous entries). sooo, i just HAD to buy some new shoes ; ) lol. so i got me some pink and brown chucks...on sale! yay! annnd i had money left over still (you do the math :D) so i got a super cool squier/fender t-shirt thingie...lol, which makes me look like a total poser really... cause i don't even own a fender guitar *wishes* in fact most people don't even know i play guitar so they look at me all funny and stuff. but yeah anyway...that was my little shopping spree (so exciting, i know ^_^)

*walked to prayer meeting...la de da (i guess that isn't really a "high point"...but it's good cause i got exercise! and that means that my mom can't yell at me for doing "nothing" all day (HA!) and tell me my muscles are going to atrophy (look it up) from sitting around on the computer (at the computer?) and drawing and stuff so much (so HA HA HA!! ^__^) *dances*

sunday:

*learned that apparently i'm not supposed to be "laid back" T_T;; (not really a high point either), but i'm saying it because if you'll go have a look-see at my last entry.... well yeah. what the heck people?! just ruin my life why don't you! gosh!! .....anyway, moving on

*drove (me driving) through my first drive thru. yaaay! ^__^ taco bell (cause it was quick and easy cause we were in a hurry.... why are we always in a hurry?!?!!! grrr) hopefully i'll have my licence by the beginning of next year. w00t!

*home again.....blah... story of my life...

(i feel like i'm forgetting something.........oh well)
that's it for now
cheers! <3

what my handwriting says about me

...according to "ItchyTrigger" and Quizilla.com
RAVE
Laid Back---Your handwriting seems to be more
flowing and graceful. This means that you are
pretty laid back and carefree most of the time.
The fact that your handwriting can be so
quickly written and sometimes messy is not a
bad thing, because it means that you want to
hurry and do what you are doing to get one with
the better things in life. You are liked by
most, and any enemies you may have are caused
by jelousy towards you of people who envy your
happy-go-lucky outlook on life.

Oh yeah and that picture doesnt have anything to do
with you, I just couldnt find a good one.
Sorry.

WHAT DOES YOUR HANDWRITING SAY ABOUT YOU??? <-----------

(and why haven't i been thinking about this more? ...why am i such a procrastinator?) *sigh*

go see my new art site! http://october-lilly.deviantart.com/ here's a preview:

death by marshmellows

that's weird, my spell check says it's "marshmallow" but i thought it was marshmellow cause that's how we say it? so maybe i'll just spell it that way anyway...? whatever, ANYWAY!

so i have this friend whom i've known since...well my parents knew her parents before we were both born, so like all my life. and i haven't seen her for a while. but for her birthday her parents decided to throw her a surprise party. good stuff. i'll try and leave out details so this doesn't get too long. but it WILL be long. so you've been warned.

okay so we get to her house, and she wasn't supposed to be home for like another half hour. so we got to meet all her other friends and stuff in that time. and her dad (crazy crazy guy) knows this guy, who invented these MARSHMELLOW GUNS out of PVC tubing!! XD they are so awesome! so basically you put a marshmellow in it and blow. sounds primitive, but totally awesome. they can shoot up to 50 feet and it doesn't really hurt unless it's like in your face or eye or something. and he had em spray painted all camo-like and stuff XD lol, but yeah, so when my friend comes home, everyone hid (of course) then we all jumped out, yelled surprise, then shot her with these marshmellow guns! it was sooo freakin hilarious! she fell backwards out the front door she was so surprised, and then she was laughing for like 5 minutes. it was great ^__^ she was really surprised too, so that was good.

then we did a marshmellow war outside (and they live out in the "country" in ramona, so there was lots of room for it) nothing fancy or planed (especially after paintballing last week), just a bucket (BIG BUCKET) of marshmellows in the middle and everyone running around shooting everyone. fun stuff. everyone's shoes got sooo jacked up and sticky though... marshmellows all over the place. and we had to pick them all up afterwards XD LAME! and they were all gross cause everyone stepped on them and some were wet and dirty and stuff. but it was still super fun. we'll have to do it for a pivot point event or something. =D

THEN, oh yes, it just gets better. her parents got a pinata. but not just any pinata... see my friend, really REALLY dislikes sponge bob squarepants...like she HATES him with a passion. she wrote this essay or something on how he's the antichrist (lol, as a joke of course). but anyway, her parents got her a sponge bob pinata to beat on. and so we all felt like 5 year olds again with the blindfolding, and the spinning around, and the looking like an idiot swinging at the air... but it was good. we beat that pinata so bad... arms and legs flying off and stuff. it was a pretty sad sight, but it was great ^_^

and after that we ate, pizza (lol, i just couldn't escape the friday pizza thing!!) go figure. and yeah, hung out and talked about random stuff with my friend's friend's (trying not to give out names here XD). her dad brought out his little portable camp fire thingie and we all sat around outside eating and telling funny stories about our friend. and she's pretty funny, so there were lots... lots of laughs and stuff.

then her dad busted out some old home videos of way back in the day XD and of course my sister and i were in most of them...lol, so megan and my friend and i were all rather embarrassed. but it was funny... i swear everyone laughed so much through the whole party! ah yes, good times. and while we watched those she opened presents... yippie skippy! it's only fun when they are your own i guess...but yeah, that part.

then CAKE! it was a good cake.. but it was also entertaining, because my friend and her friend had a cake fight! it was all over the place. they both had to take a shower and stuff... omg, yeah... you'd have had to have been there i guess... but this lovely colored frosting ALL over their faces, in their hair, and up their noses and... well yeah. it got pretty crazy ^_^; funny stuff. after that we all just sat around talking and stuff, then we had to leave cause it was getting late. but it was good. lotsa fun ^__^ glad i was able to go, blah blah blah

okay, that's all (i think). so thanks for reading my little story ^_^ now comment on something so know i'm not just talking to myself out here! <3

veni, vidi, vici

[for you uncultured or uneducated folks, that's Latin for "i came, i saw, i conquered"]

but in my case it should be more like: i went, i saw, i wasted lots of money on overpriced junk food. what did i do exactly? ...i went to the zoo!

so here it is, by popular demand: WHAT I DID YESTERDAY! yaaay!!

i'll start by saying that my favorite part of the zoo would have to be the pandas..
. i love pandas. if i were an animal i think it would be a panda... apart from being endangered, they have it pretty good: eat, sleep, and play all day! =3 sounds good to me! red pandas are also awesome... i want one as a pet ^__^

as for the other animals, i saw so many i can't even remember them all. we looked at everything but the elephants and rhinos...mainly because we couldn't find them ^^; heh, not that i cared to see them much anyway... you've seen one you've seen em all... and they smell bad besides! so no loss there.

annnd well... i must say, while the fact that nearly every other time we walked past an animal it pooped was kinda gross, what disgusted me the most was the people's reaction to *ahem* the reproductive nature of certain animals... yes, i know they're doing it right out there in the open (they don't give em much room in those little exhibits anyway) but i mean JEEZ PEOPLE!! do you have to hoot and yell and cheer them on? there are small children around you know! and funny how the little mexican school kids get all excited over stuff like the hippo pooping underwater... "mira mira! *lots of undistinguishable gibberish* jajajajajajaja!" i dunno... kinda wish i understood more spanish...but then, in this case, maybe not? lol

conclusion: out of all the animals i saw, humans are among the strangest of them all... very strange indeed. i want to be a panda.

downsides for the day:
* i was deprived of the samurai sam's teriyaki bowl that i have been craving all week -- not once, but TWICE! twice i could have gotten it! first time i couldn't because we were pressed for time (had to go through the taco bell drive thru RIGHT NEXT to samurai sam's). second time was because it was closed when we got there... of all the rotten luck.
* and we didn't ride the bus thingie around the zoo, so my feet were hurting... but i'm okay. i just need new shoes... or a new body.

upsides:
* i got to see lots of cute animals
* i got exercise walking around the zoo!
* i bought a bracelet to support panda conservation XD

annnd i guess that's all there is to tell...

thanks for reading!
until next time~

pain (er) PAINTballing

yeah, that's what it is... lol, soooo yesterday i went paintballing for the second time ever... good stuff... got shot lots... now i'm all battered and bruised... and sore... ugh, i felt like an old person limping around today... heh... mostly because of some dork who didn't know what it means when i'm walking with my hands up and gun in the air T_T so yeah, i got some crappy gun with a sticky trigger or something...i'd take one shot and it would get stuck, so at the begining of the game i just went ahead and surrendered, cause what's the point of staying in the game if you have to switch the safty on and off every time you take a shot? but anyway, it was a narrow area, so we had to walk towards the people on the other team to get out... so walking on the side, hands up, gun in the air... and some trigger happy punk pops out of no where and shoots me! right in the ribs... and i'm already pissed off cause my gun isn't working, but that just really sucked... kept walking, now in pain, and i don't know if it was the same punk or another one, but i got shot again from like 5 feet away! (and they say if someone is within 20 feet you have to tell them to surrender...so yeah, someone didn't listen to the rules >_> or was just dumb) but yeah.... more pain, right in the leg... stupid person, ruined my whole day... or at least the paintball experience. and i have two huge welts from those shots (i'd take a picture and put it here if i had a digital camera)... plus a couple other lovely battle wounds in various places... and i'm sore...... gah... pain...... >_<
**okay, complaining time over** ^__^

my calender is cool... it has these random european holidays like the 26th for instance is "Nationalfeiertag" in Austria (which sounds like national fire tag, which sounds like FUN!! haha ^_^;;) and then day light savings for the people in Austria, Germany and Switzerland is "Ende der Sommerzeit" (which could be "end of summer, or "in der somersult" however you hear it) jk, it's obvious, but then "Erntedankfest" in Germany... sounds..fun? i dunno... i've never been to an ern te dank fest.... i'm just filling space now =3 but i'll stop

.:happy birthday to me:.

this is just a "what i did on my birthday" kinda thing... and it got super long, so you've been warned. and i actually wrote this yesterday but didn't get to put it up till now. so yeah... for those of you who are into spying on me and such things, you get free info! yay for you! enjoy!

well, today, october 18th 2005, is my 18th birthday. omg, i'm a legal adult now. heh, and no, i don't feel any older than i did yesterday (why do people always ask that? dumbest question EVER!) but anyway, it was a good day ^_^ woke up early to go to class day with everyone. but first, i had to go on a little treasure hunt to find my birthday gift from a certain.... i must say, about the hunting for clues and whatnot; my brain doesn't work so well early in the morning XD the one in the freezer gave me the most trouble i think... but thanks ^__^ i did finally find the picture thing, and i love it! *hugs*

after that we all went to class day (if you don't know what that is, it's basically when the big home school group that we are a part of gets together and does extracurricular classes and things, and it's for day... every other week... class + day = class day... makes sense to me) but yeah, since i've graduated, i don't go anymore. but i figured i could go and then we'd be close to the place i wanted to go anyway (tell you later). so yeah, chilled with megan in her classes, saw all my old school buddies (the ones that didn't graduate that is) it's weird, since i was there, it's changed, but at the same time it's still the same. i dunno... but apart from reliving the boring opening/bible study (memorize catechisms? no thanks) it was really enjoyable. went to megan's drama class, which was fun... i'm much more confident doing it now than i was when i was actually in the class. then there was cooking class...we made apple pie, and i got to see my old cooking teacher -- who is really cool btw ^__^ then megan's next class was volley ball, which i was really excited about...but i'd forgotten the school's lameness about playing sports in the rain... they just don't do it. sooo the whole volley ball class was shipped upstairs into a room full of games (air hockey, checkers, basket ball hoop thingie, etc) and told that we couldn't touch anything... but they gave us a box full of gum, and a few decks of cards. super lame at first, but it was with my old art class buddies, so it was cool. i learned that in the home schooler's rendition of BS the "BS" stands for "bible study" lol. annnd i drew on my friends shoes and there was lots of gum throwing (no 52 card pick up thank you) and talking about lots of random stuff and just having a good time.
after the period was over and everyone was free, megan and i found a volley ball and started a free for all game of volley ball out front, eventually almost our entire group from upstairs joined in and we had this insane game of volley/soccer/dodge/foot/ball/whatever (meaning basically use any means necessary to keep the ball off the ground, and look as cool as you can doing it) going on out front in the wet grass. but then this guy who's in charge yelled at us for being by windows or something, so we had to move our game to the back where the street is.... and there's this random asphalt area divided by a chain link fence, so i said, "hey lets use this for a net"... thus extreme-GHETTO-killer-volley-soccer-foot-dodge-ball was born ^__^ it was great too, cause there were lots of puddles from all the rain, so if you spiked it and the other team got splashed then you were awesome. and if you missed it and you got splashed...well then it was just lame - and you were all wet to boot....and we all were rather wet by the time we were done (who wants to dive into the street for a stinkin volley ball anyway?) but it was so much fun! and it got pretty crazy too, we'd have random people just walk up and start playing... and yeah. enough about that ^_^ good times, good times.

after that we drove to the mall so that molly and i could get our ears pierced... ah yes, all 18 years of my life and just now getting it done... whatever. 4mm 14 karat white gold..um..orb shaped thing, shot into my ear lobes.... yeah. lame thing is i have to leave them in for 6 weeks, and i have to clean my ears 3 times every day for that whole 6 weeks XD jeez... lotsa work. and it didn't hurt as bad as some people made it sound... i didn't cry or anything, lol (don't i sound mature...not)^_^ then we got hot dog on a stick for lunch (yummy!) and went to the book store and the pet store. apparently they made a manga of kingdom hearts...so i bought that for myself ^_^ annnd they have the cutest kittens at the pet store right now! but they aren't going to start selling them till november 1st. they were so freakin adorable!!! i want a kitty!! ..maybe for my next birthday, yes? *wink*

then went home for a little bit, relaxed and stuff. then went to souplantation for dinner (WONTON CHICKEN HAPPINESS ^___^ oh yeah) and it was delicious as always! then went home and did cake and presents... and i have to say, most birthdays i maybe get one or two things i really wanted and a bunch of stuff i don't really like all that much. but THIS year i'm so happy with everything i got (of course i picked out half of it, but that's beside the point!) the best thing of course is that i FINALLY got my own laptop ^__^ yay for me! it's actually half graduation present as well, cause my loving parents never got me anything... but i'm really excited about it, i just hope i don't mess it up or something. and i think that's about it. over all, it was the best birthday i've had in a long time. and if you read all that...wow. props to you

xoxoxoxo,
~mel

once in a life-time oportunity!

for you people who know me personally, i'm humbly offering my artistic abilities to you. most of you have seen my online shop and you've probably noticed there isn't really much on it that is all that great... and this is because i'm really lacking in good ideas right now.
so, as of today, i'm opening it up to you guys! you can make a specific request for something or just give me an idea of something you would like for me to sell on an article of clothing or some other item in my shop (t-shirts, mouse pads, mugs, sweatshirts, hats and all kinds of stuff) and i will create it for you to buy! here are the terms for what i can put on my products:

i heart word verification

no i'm serious. call me crazy, but i really do. c'mon now... what's not totally awesome about those random letters put together in weird, squiggly, colored font that they call "words" even though you can't pronounce them? (and yay for my awesome run-on sentence skillz)

but at this point i'm not so overwhelmed by spam that i'll be forced to use it on my blog...not even for my own amusement. of course now that i've said that right after i post this i'll probably be spammed like no other.

The Great Steak & Potato Co. - The American Carne Asada Fries...sort of

well, close enough. went to the mall today, and after all the surf shops megan dragged me into the only thing i bought in the whole mall was food... go figure. but yeah, the great steak and potato co... i ordered what they call "the king": fries with cheese, sour cream, bacon bits, and chives on top. all for a little under 5$ (my weekly allowance that i get once in a blue moon). but anyway, the last time i had this was when my grandparents were visiting earlier this year. and my grandma was with me, and she's a total health food person. so the whole time i was eating it she was sitting watching me and making this weird moaning "uggghhh" kind of sound like every 5 minutes (cause watching me eat it was making her gain weight or something?).... but that made it all the better somehow ^_^ either way, i enjoyed it again today, and it was so good i thought i'd write about it here and recomend it to everyone. it's a lot like Boardwalk Fries (that used to be in the mall but went out of business or something).
as for the rest of the trip, went into every surf shop in the place and i must say, i don't really like most of them... buncha over-priced poser gear really. or maybe i'm just mad at them because i want their stuff but can't afford it...and can't pull off the rest of it. woe is me. i'm thinking about getting a j-o-b at the Barnes & Noble in Carmel Mountain. haha, we'll see how long that idea lasts. oh what else can i talk about? i was also thinking about dying my hair again. something redish this time maybe? like auburn? i'm getting rather pale from being on the compy all the time, so i think i could pull off the whole red-head look. ........or how about just full on black? ^__^ okay, now i'm going crazy! someone stop me!! XD

mystery solved

but first, what do you think of my picture?
it's not very recent, but it's better than nothing i guess.

so the mystery of the disapearing salt and paprika has been solved. turns out my mom was the culprit. after some questioning she finally confessed that she had indeed taken the missing items with her to class day (for a cooking class that she teaches), then proceded to laugh at me when i told her what i used instead (see previous blog entry) *sigh* i love you mom

happy october!

current mood: absent minded
reading: lots of blogs
listening to: Something like Silas - Divine Invitation
watching: Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children

gah! i don't know if i should call this a blond moment or just typical me.
so i'm having left over potato salad for lunch today, and i go to put paprika on it (cause that's what i always do) and after i'd already sprinkled it all over my food, i notice it kinda looks darker than usual. so i look and i realize i don't have the paprika in my hand... i have chili powder in my hand!! XD but i swear it looked just like the paprika (it was red and in a similar container, and in the same place the paprika usually is). but it's not like i can just scrape it off or anything (not without throwing away half of my food), so i'm eating it anyway... it's not too bad actually ^_^; but i still can't find the paprika OR the salt for that matter and i'm really confused cause i just used them both last night.

and in other news, my 18th birthday is in...exactly two weeks today! so i guess this is a good time to put this up: my wish list
yeah, i've actually been working on it for a while... it's mostly random stuff that i don't expect to ever own. but still, if you ever feel like giving me something, that's a good place to start...for good ideas at least. (and most of it is fairly cheap stuff)

and don't forget to check out my store at cafepress.com! i've added a new shop and more stuff ^_^

much love <3

my latest money making schemes

lol, okay not really... but i'm hoping..... ^_^

come buy my stuff on cafepress.com!

if you haven't heard of this site, basically, you start a little shop and they put your designs on stuff and sell it for you ^_^ it's no where near being finished... my problem is that untill i make enough to buy an upgrade i can only have one of each product in my shop.... making it harder to sell things. and i have sooo many pictures and designs i want to put up!! and for some reason it's not letting me add any more things tonight... so if you go look now, there are like two designs on a few different things (t-shirts, mugs, buttons, bags, hats, etc...) but they aren't my best; i can promise you that! i'll be sure and say something once it's updated. that's one of the designs up there... the character is japanese for "beauty".
but yeah anyway, since i am currently oh so unemployed and not really making any progress in changing that fact, i figure i can find another means of income ^_^ yay! wish me luck! (or better yet, buy something!)

love and peace <3

surf day!

so yeah, there's my sis and me... aren't we hot? NOT. (picture not mine) haha, we did go surfing this morning. nice day for it definitly... well, it was sunny anyway. (water: cold as always - no luck there) and yeah, caught one or two good waves, and one killer which i'm sad to say my sis and i both ate it big time on. not even "wipe out," it was more like crash and burn and nearly die. we were out waiting for the perfect wave, looking all cool and stuff sitting on our boards like pros *snicker*, and then it came...had to be at least a 5 footer! (rare that time of day...especially for torrey pines) i'm guessing of course, but looking over the top it sure was a long drop before i hit the water. head first. then into natures washing machine as they say... i thought we took the last in the set, but lo and behold, we both come up for air after the water stopped spinning, only to get pounded like 4 more times before we could really stop and catch our breath. on the second one i got hit in the head with my board >_< but i think i'm okay now...
and in other news, i finally got my cinnabon (twice actually) was good. yay! i wish there was one closer to my house. i'd sooo work there! but alas, the quest to find a job is at a stand still. perhaps i shall take up the life of a beach bum? my surfing skills would probably improve = )
peace out. xoxoxo

i'm confused...

Your Birthdate: October 18

Your birthday on the 18th day of the month suggests than you are one who can work well with a group, but still remain someone who needs to maintain individual identity.
There is a humanistic or philanthropic approach to business circumstances in which you find yourself.
You may have good executive abilities, as you are very much the organizer and administrator.

You are broad-minded, tolerant and generous; a compassionate person that can inspire others with imaginative ideas.
Some of your feelings may be expressed, but even more of them are apt to be repressed.
There is a lot of drama in your personality and in the way you express yourself to others.
Oddly enough, you don't expect as much in return as you give.

so either the people at blogthings know me way better than i know myself, or they don't know anything... help?! does this sound like me?

and yeah, my b'day is next month...on that day up there. so now you don't have to embarass yourself guessing **you know who you are** and oddly enough that is also how old i shall be; 18 on the 18th. you can remember that, right?

<3 cheers

after-wedding thoughts and stuff

I must say, reading everyone else’s blogs on the subject was interesting. But for me, that was definitely the best wedding I’ve been to in a long time. Probably because I’ve known mama j and her family for like forever – along with half the rest of the people there. Not like other weddings were it’s a distant cousin or someone from church I don’t really know and I don’t know anyone there. XD I can’t believe I cried when mama j walked down the isle though *sniffle* omg, she looked so beautiful and so happy!! and the ceremony part wasn’t too long or anything, so it was good.
and decorating was fun ^__^ I was kinda in shock when bobby (tracy’s mom, bobby) just kinda handed me the ribbon and stuff and was like “I have to go decorate the dining room, you can do this part. You’re an artist! Just make it pretty” uh, okay ^^;; I guess it came out alright. My mom asked me if I wanted to be a wedding coordinator when I’m older (is thinking of that jlo movie, the wedding planner) haha, maybe not like that. But she said they get paid lots ^_~ hehe.
But anyway, got uber sun burnt doing that part. And my feet were killing me before the wedding even started! actually I guess it would be my shoes that were killing me, not my feet. (Stupid cute shoes!! Why are you so evil? why can’t you ever not hurt my feet?!) i went barefoot the rest of the time till the dancing started. Put my shoes back on for some crazy reason (they’re open-toed shoes, so my toes got stepped on anyway!) lol, but I have to say dancing was the most fun part of the whole wedding. I slept sooo good afterwards ^_^ so I’m thinking if I just go dancing every night I’ll never have any trouble sleeping ever again… Haha, or maybe not.
Over all, it was a great time.

hehe, I forget where I got that pic up there, but…. I dunno, it’s just funny ^_^

among other things: my feet are feeling much better. but i’m hungry, and i want wendy’s, and cinnabon ^__^ mmm
http://www.gordonfamily.com/Recipes/cinnabon.htm <-- could make my own if i had all the ingredients!! =D

trying again

so yeah, i deleted my last blog. haha. i guess i kinda missed it... i dunno. typing is supposed to be therapeutic, yes? by the way, aroma therapy = legal drug!! haha, someone will get it *wink* hmmm, what the heck, i'm running out of things to say already (and you ask why i deleted my last blog? lol) well, in case anyone cares, as of this morning my toenails are now...purple *gag* oh yeah, it's great, did em myself too... for mama j's wedding. only for ma j will i paint my toenails purple! doin it for mama j!! woo! yeah.... (need to fill more space)
**shameless plug!!**
come see my deviantART site: http://nemuiPanda05.deviantart.com :D good stuff! (er... mostly >_>) unfortunately you have to have a deviantART account to comment. it's fun though, if you don't draw then you can post photography, poetry, and some other things. yay! ^_^
okay, that's about it for now...

amor et pax. <3
